Certain days have a way of lighting up the wanderlust in my heart. I often find myself thinking about my time in Rome, particularly about the magical surprise of discovering some of my favorite food moments inside the train station.
Mercato Centrale is a marketplace attached to Rome's Termini train station which houses a wide variety of individually operated artisan food stalls serving everything from Campani pizza by Marco Quintili, ramen from Akira Ramen Bar, to Trappizino, an inverted triangle shaped pocket of crusty bread filled with traditional Roman sauces.
